Voot The Raikar Case Review

The seven-episode story of The Raikar Case moves around an unfortunate demise of the youngest member of the leading business family of Goa, Naik Raikars. This drives the political power and police into a nosedive. The series kicks off seeing a depressed Tarun Naik Raikar (portrayed by Honey Kamboj) standing at a cliff’s edge. As his cousin Etasha (played by Parul Gulati) did not receive his calls, he appears to be getting mad at her and condemns his family for taking such a step. She attempts to persuade him to talk while he moves nearer to the edge and then jumps off to his death.

But to our surprise, the death of Tarun is announced to be murder rather than being a suicide by the SP John Pereira (showcased by Neil Bhoopalam). Wait, what’s happening as Tarun is seen jumping off the edge by himself? Then how can it be murder? And if it is so, who and why would somebody murder him? Surely, all of these questions would have popped up in your head. These questions pop up in your head.

As we move forward, we realize everyone in the influential and wealthy family, led by patriarch Atul Kulkarni as Yashwant and Ashvini Bhave as his wife Sakshi, has a closet loaded with secrets that begins coming to the forefront after Tarun’s demise. The plot of the web series keeps the viewers entwined in the mystery with the characters played by Reena Wadhwa, Lalit Prabhakar, and Ashvini Bhave all being doubted as murderers. Each episode exposes one of their likely intentions and makes you think that she or he could have murdered the family’s youngest member. The ebbs and flows are good and change the events of the story in no time. Also, the story has cleverly highlighted how family love can be darkened easily by politics and a desire for power.

The covers of each episode of The Raikar Case have been shut with a cliffhanger, making audiences to come back for the next episode. Thriller enthusiasts would surely like this series.
