Hulu Upcoming Web Series 2019

With 20 Million users all over the world and the prestigious The Handmaid’s Tale below its brand, Hulu now has a strong grip within the increasingly saturated realm of streaming. And while latest reports display that the firm has been investing money over 2018, it is also essential to note that a major cut of the losses is down to spending.

The service has been investing in some truly quality content. Apart from the latest releases of The Looming Tower, THT S2, and Castle Rock, Hulu’s got some exciting TV programs under the sleeves as it gets ready for the almighty Fox/Disney takeover.

Here are some web series that are all set to go live on Hulu in the near future.

Little Fires Everywhere Web Series

Launch date: TBA

Beating off rivalry from various other streamers, Hulu bagged the limited series Little Fires Everywhere. Written by Liz Tigelaar and based on bestselling book by Celeste Ng of the same moniker, the series is produced and stars Big Little Lies’ Reese Witherspoon and Scandal’s Kerry Washington.

Little Fires Everywhere shows the nature of art, the weight of secrets, and the ferocious force of motherhood, with a narrative that chases the intertwined destinies of the seemingly ideal Richardsons and an enigmatic daughter and mother who turn over their lives.

The Runaways S2 Web Series

Launch date: December 21

The season two of Marvel’s The Runaways starts from where it was first left off, with the children escaping to live their own life and having set off from their evil parents.

If you loved season one, you will be happy to know that the streaming service has removed the model of lunching weekly episode and will launch all 13 episodes on December 21, 2019. We know what you will be doing over the season of holidays.

The First Web Series

Launch date: September 14

Debatably the most expected program on this list, The First is the next TV project by Beau Willimon after his run with MVP House of Cards by Netflix.

Featuring Sean Penn in his web series debut, together with Oded Fehr, Natascha McElhone, LisaGay Hamilton, James Ransome, and Hannah Ware, the story is a fictional narration of the efforts to send Mars’ first manned mission. As well as aiming on the astronomers as they overcome the hurdles of interplanetary colonization, the web series will also study the relations with their loved ones, families, and the team members back on the planet.

Willimon at the wheel, a star-crowded cast, and a premise that is as holding as it is topical, The First seems like it can be our newest sci-fi fascination. Be certain to tune in when it launches in September.

Light As a Feather Web Series

Launch date: October 12

Hulu might seem to be making its horror arm stronger with various new genre series set for lunch over the months to come, one of those being Light as a Feather. The 10-episode supernatural web series produced by Lee Fleming Jr. follows a story by Zoe Aarsen and is certain to bring chills to anybody. The series shows the Craft youth when burning sage and conducting witchcraft.

The tale features 5 teenage girls as they cope with the supernatural fallout coming from an innocent game round. When the unseen grim reaper begins picking them off individually in a manner that was assumed (same as that of Final Destination), the survivors must know why they are being targeted and whether the evil spirit killing them down is one of their own.

Less Than Zero Web Series

Launch date: TBA

Bret Easton Ellis admirers will be happy to know that Hulu has locked a web series for a TV version of one of the best literary works of the prolific writer, Less Than Zero. The previous month, media verified that The Walking Dead star Austin Abrams will play the lead character Clay.

With any luck, the show will act as a chance to go further than the limitations of Marek Kanievska’s 1987 film version and have a peek into the nihilistic world occupied by the lost generation who experienced drugs, sex, and disaffection at a very early stage of life.

I Love You America S2 Web Series

Launch date: September 6

Sarah Silverman comes back to I Love You, America, her weekly travelogue show. Traveling the nation to look at the reasons for America’s polarization via a comedy shade, Sarah wants to link with individuals who may not agree with her personal thoughts through humor, honesty, and a real interest in others. After all, the best method to get through individuals is humor and Sarah is serving it heavily while spreading the message that people must not be spirited by their beliefs’ differences. No doubt Sarah has discovered plenty more subjects to differ with her in 2017 since season one.

Into the Dark Web Series

Launch date: October 5

One more show adding to horror beats of Hulu, Into the Dark is an upcoming web series from Blumhouse, the horror behemoth. With a clever novel format, the series will provide “super-sized” separate episodes every month, beginning in October just in time for Halloween.

But the genuine premise does not end there, as every episode will be motivated by a holiday from its release month. The first episode, “The Body”, shows Tom Bateman and deals with the Los Angeles’ selfie culture.

Catch-22 Web Series

Launch date: TBA

The expected small screen version of the seminal novel by Joseph Heller, Catch-22 features George Clooney together with Jay Paulson, Tessa Ferrer, Julie Ann Emery, Hugh Laurie, and Kyle Chandler. The web series narrates the classic tale of the unrivaled artful dodger, Yossarian—a bombardier for US Air Force in World War II.

Yossarian is wedged between a hard place and a rock: The people he has never met who are trying to murder him, and the actual nemesis, his own army which keeps elevating the number of missions the people must fly to finish their service. It is a determined series, but with a solid budget, a cast crowded with Hollywood stars, and a solid base from which to develop the story from, we have high exactions for this series.

The Handmaid’s Tale S3 Web Series

Launch date: TBA

Yes, we have only just almost caught our breath after the harrowing season two of The Handmaid’s Tale and already discussions have started for the third season. While season two took us to some worrying territory in the starting episodes as the handmaids handled the fallout of a fuzzy execution, we staidly began to see attitudes modify as the very base of Gilead started to tumble. And with the massive cliffhanger the season finale left us on, we will be hanging on for dear life till the third season launches.
