Emily is introduced as a highly ambitious character who is working as a marketing executive and has a new job in Paris. Her journey from Chicago to Paris has been a dream one. This happens when her company acquires a renowned French luxury marketing company. She was assigned the task of revamping the whole social media content. She is fascinated with her new life and is seen enjoying the challenges and adventures she faces in her work life. She wins name and fame at her workplace. She wins over her colleagues, makes many new friends and gets into some romantic chemistry, too!

Season 2 was full of her adventurous life in Paris, but she seems to be stuck in the ideology of France. She was also stuck between two male members who were seen madly in love with her- her French friend and her neighbour. Later, she meets another person in French class who seems to win her interest and irritation level.

Later in Season 3, news of Camille being pregnant and getting married due to the same was also there. There are many plots involved in Season 4, and one can only learn about it after watching it.
