Amazon Prime Video has recently come up with several web series to keep its subscribers entertained during the times of quarantine. One such recently aired comedy-drama was TVF’s Panchayat that depicts the story of a guy born & raised in a city and the way he copes with the tests of life while staying in rural India.

The web series written by Chandan Kumar and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra has gained a huge amount of positive response from the viewers all over the country. The first season was made available on the platform on April 3, 2020, and now, everyone is eagerly waiting for the second season to arrive.

Panchayat Season 1 Plot

As said the story of Panchayat is about the life of an Engineering graduate, Abhishek Tripathy, showcased by Jitendra Kumar. Having no other job opportunity, Abhishek joins the job within the government sector as a secretary in the Phullera village of Uttar Pradesh. One can see the village’s dynamics through the eyes of Abhishek. The place is ruled poorly and he must confront fiddly challenges during his work. He is unhappy and trying to make his way out of the village, he chooses to prepare for the MBA entrance exam, CAT.

The show’s humor majorly springs from the struggle of Abhishek to deal with rural life, principally his opinion dissimilarities with the villagers. The strongest suit of the show is the way it utilizes comicality to bring up common social subjects like family planning, gender equality, and dowry.

Panchayat Season 2 Release Date

So far, no official statement has been made by Amazon Prime or TVF about the arrival of the second season. However, considering the show’s success, we can anticipate Panchayat season 2 to be aired sometime around April 2021.
