On February 14, two successful years have been complete by the video-streaming platform Zee5. During that event, several new web series was been announced and of them, the attention-grabbing one was “NAXAL.” Naxal and Naxalite attacks have been a serious matter for years now and they have shaken up the society in several unforgettable ways. Talking about this new web series, it will be a fictional plot divided into 10 episodes revolving around the clash of a protagonist against a red uprising.
Zee5 Original Naxal Cast
Naxal is produced by GSEAMS (Arjun & Kartik). Kunal Kohli has directed this first-ever web series based on the plot of Naxalite movements and will be featuring the talented and all-round actor Rajeev Khandelwal. Also, two female leads are said to be showcased by the series, though their names are yet to be made public.
Zee5 Original Naxal Release Date
“Naxal” has already gone on the floors on March 24 and its exclusive streaming on Zee5 can be expected sometime in August 2020.
Zee5 Original Naxal Story Plot
The web show interchanges between the metropolitan cities and dense jungles of Maharashtra that have progressively turned out to be the breeding ground for the Naxal systems. Raghav (played by Rajeev Khandelwal), the cop, who is heroic but blemished, will be seen racing against time to save the nation from a forthcoming, looming danger.
Rajeev Khandelwal, in an interview, shared, “Naxal will portray a subject that has been there for decades now. I consider this is a significant story to convey and is different from that you have so far watched on this topic. Personally, for me, this is a role that viewers have not watched me in at all. I just feel great to be functioning with Zee5 again.” Kunal Kohli, on his digital directorial debut, stated, “This topic has not been explored in the web series space before and, as a director, it has been both exciting & challenging for me.”
